African Woman or The Flowers of Life?

I believe I've lost my MOJO, with the kids back in school, this week has been very busy and I haven't been motivated. I've let life consume me, and haven't had any time to craft but I'm about to change all that. I've narrowed down my choice of cross stitch to 2, one is a stamped stitch - that only means that the image is stamped onto the fabric - that is for my parents. I'm not sure if it will be for their Anniversary in September or for Grandparents day. Here is what I've gotten done so far. Inside of the lattice, I'll put the names of all their grand kids. As you can see, I don't have much done, believe it or not, I find the stamped cross stitch challenging.

The 2nd project is something I've been working on for awhile, I'm constantly putting it down for other smaller projects, that have to get done. I would actually like to finish this one, it's not for anyone special, it's just for me to hang in the house. This is all I've gotten done, I just love the bright colors of this cross stitch.
So, which one will it be? I have to work on The Flowers of Life for my parents first, of course. Well that was easy!!
I'll see you all sometime next week, until then, have a great and blessed week!!

  1. Your cross stitching is beautiful! I love to cross stitch too, but haven't done it for quite a while. I agree with you in that I think stamped cross stitching is more challenging than counted cross stitch.

  2. Both of these are gorgeous projects!!! I prefer stamped cross stitch, so that I can pick it up and find my place without having to count. Mostly I make paper crafts these days though.
